tcpa compliance
Compliance is engineering. Not an afterthought.
Voice + telephony at scale lives or dies on TCPA compliance. The federal fine schedule ($500–$1,500 per violation) makes one bad campaign cripple a small operator. Hermes ships with TCPA protections built in — you can’t accidentally violate them.
what we do for you
Six protections that ship by default.
Consent capture & retention
Every contact added to a campaign requires documented consent. Hermes stores the consent timestamp, source, and IP for the lifetime of the contact — accessible via export at any time.
Quiet hours by default
Outbound calling is locked to 8 AM–9 PM in the recipient’s local time zone. Operators must explicitly override per-campaign with a written-acknowledged exception.
DNC scrubbing
Daily DNC list scrub against the federal Do-Not-Call registry. State DNC lists scrubbed where Hermes has confirmed coverage. Internal DNC list per workspace, automatically merged.
AI disclosure
Agents disclose AI identity when asked. Configurable opening disclosure available for jurisdictions that require it (e.g., California AB-2273 once finalized).
Recording opt-in
Two-party-consent states require explicit caller acknowledgment before recording. Hermes injects the opt-in prompt automatically based on the deployment region.
A2P 10DLC handled
A2P 10DLC registration handled for you on Agency tier and above ($30/submission pass-through, no upcharge). Brand registration, campaign vetting, throughput tier requests — all included.
what you still own
Operator responsibilities.
Hermes is your platform — it’s not your lawyer. You remain responsible for: (a) the source and quality of consent you collect; (b) the truthfulness of agent claims; (c) the accuracy of business identity disclosures; (d) compliance with state-specific rules in your client’s jurisdictions.
We strongly recommend operators run their consent capture flows past a TCPA-aware attorney once, before scaling. The cost is a few hundred dollars; the downside is class-action exposure.

Operators on Business tier and above can DM the founders directly with TCPA questions before launching a campaign. We've reviewed thousands of campaign briefs across our agency network.
